The patient’s post-transplant course was complex and was most recently (starting in Spring of 2023) complicated by Tandem heart placement for worsening heart failure, bioprosthetic mitral valve replacement, PEA cardiac arrest (requiring about 5 days of VA-ECMO), AKI needing CRRT, placement of tracheostomy, and pulmonary Mycobacterium abscessus infection.
